Back to work

Bangkok, 2nd of January: Back to work.

Almost ten years later, I’m still not able to make up my mind. I bought my first DSLR camera back in 2008, while studying third year of Journalism degree in Madrid. It started as a hobby, it ended up being a way to tell stories. Soon I learned that in this media industry it’s kind of hard to work as a writer and as a photographer at the same time: bosses and co-workers expect you to choose between one of those two and stick to it. I get it, and sometimes, under certain circumstances, it even makes sense. But I tend to politely disagree.

I have passion for street photography, but I also shoot portraits and especially architecture photography: I'm very interested in capturing the way humans and constructions interact in our society.

This is great...
and I agree with you - many times when I post a photo - it's with the idea that writing about it then completes the whole picture, and the one thing enhances the other. Photo-journalism shouldn't mutually exclude photo's from writing or vice versa.
This is great Anthony, and needs no words, the old saying 'a picture paints a thousand words' still holds true. Dont stop taking them.
